Visualisations in Cosmology

‘This conversation took place with Professor Richard Bower and Dr Mark Swinbank in November 2016. Both Richard and Mark are based at the Institute of Computational Cosmology at Durham University and I wanted to bring them together to form, along with myself, a three way conversation about visualisation in cosmology.

There’s a great deal of cross over between the work that Richard and Mark carry out but there are also some fundamental differences – not least the fact that Richard works mainly with visual simulations constructed purely from data, whereas Mark works more with visualisations built from observational data…’
